IEC 60598-1 Clause 4.14.1 Test E Spring Clamp Luminaires Test Device For Luminaires Test
Product information:
Standard: IEC60598-1:2020 "Luminaries-Part1: General requirements and tests" clause 4.14.1 test E
Specimen and limitations: Spring clamp mounted luminaires
Test purpose: Used to test the clamping strength of spring clamp-mounted luminaires to verify the safety of the clamping connection
Test principle:
In this test, a push-pull force meter installed on the rack is used to apply tension to the cable in the most unfavorable direction during normal use of the spring-clamped lamp, which lasts for 1 minute.
Technical parameters:
Test station | Single station |
Operation mode | Manually adjust the rocker of the push-pull force meter until the force value is constant for 1 minute, and then release it. |
Push-pull force meter range | 0-100N, resolution 0.01N |
Installation glass thickness |
Standard test shelf: A piece of ordinary glass plate with a thickness of 10mm. Another glass plate with a thickness that the spring clip can be installed on it, and the thickness increases in multiples of 10mm. |
Test metal rod | 1 piece, Ø20mm, polished chrome plated surface |
Test method |
Under a pulling force of 20N, the spring clip should not move on the glass. Under a pulling force of 20N, the spring clamped luminaire should not fall off the metal rod. |
